NSAIDs, also known as Non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are often prescribed for muscular pain. Specifically, naproxen is often prescribed for menstrual cramping in females.

A new study recently showed that women taking Naproxen, Diclofenac, or Etoricoxib suppressed their ovulation just after ten days. Specifically only 6.3 percent ovulated on diclofenac, 25 percent ovulation on naproxen and 27.3 percent ovulated on etoricoxib ovulated, compared with 100 percent of the control group.
