Smoothies are a great way to increase your fruit and vegetable intake for the day. In as little as one cup you can get at least 10g of protein, 10g of fibre, a daily dose of good fats and this sets you up for the rest of the day.

I like to start my day with something that is refreshing and thirst quenching.

for this recipe, you will need a blender or magic bullet.

Berry Blast Smoothie

1/2 cup fresh strawberries or frozen berries

1/2 of a ripe banana

1 cup of spinach

3-5 pieces of pineapple

1 scoop protein powder

1 cup of water

Blend all ingredients in a blender or magic bull yet and off to your day.

Tip: fresh does taste better then frozen. You can also wash/cut up these fruits and veggies ahead of time for ready use in the morning
