Tacos at home usually are made with a “taco kit.” It doesn’t have to be that way. The key to a good taco is your home made spice mix. You can tr



1 lb of wild fish filets  cut into 1.5 inch X 3 inch pieces (ex. Wild Cod, or Tilapia)

Spice Mix (mix 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp black pepper)

Olive Oil

1 Lime

1 can organic black beans or the equivalent dried and soaked

1 red pepper chopped

3 green onions chopped

1/2 cup of cilantro chopped

2 roma tomatoes chopped

1 avocado sliced

8-10 small sized organic corn tortillas (or flour ones if you are not sensitive)


  1. Wash and dry your fish. Add 3 tbsp olive oil, spice mix, the rind of 1/2 a lime, and juice of 1/2  a lime. Toss the fish until it is evenly coated.
  2. In a pan, on medium heat add about 3 tbsp olive oil and sautee your onions and red pepper for 5 minutes. Add your black beans and tomatoes. sautee for another 5 minutes. Add salt & pepper to taste. Last add your cilantro and lime rind and sautee for another 2 minutes and take off the heat.
  3. In another pan, add about 3 tbsp of olive oil and pan fry your fish on medium head for about 2 minutes each side.
  4. Now all your toppings are ready. When assembling, place your tortilla on your plate. Add a layer of beans, a slice of avocado, and your spiced fish on top.
